Main Story

Hello guys, my name is Ethan and I have always writing and I read about this website and thought it sounded perfect. I hope you guys like all of my articles and I'll try to write often, although with school I can't make any promises. Now onto the main story:

One of my new favorite shows is Dance Moms, a show about a dance instructor named Abby Lee Miller whose drill sergeant like teaching techniques have stirred up a lot of currency. Seeing these little girls pushed to such limits brings up the questions; are we living through our kids and are we pushing them to far?

Toddlers and Tiaras, a show about stage moms and their daughters who compete and pageants, is a TLC show under fire for pushing kids to far. Kids--decked out in spray tans, fake teeth, wigs, and dresses worth thousands of dollar--fight for a crown, and the title of grand supreme. Parents turn their kids, some as young as 2 years old, into living dolls. Many people think that the kids in this show are being pushed too far by their crazy parents, and although I haven't seen the show, I have to agree. Kids that age should being playing with dolls, not getting fake tans, especially against their will. Many kids don't want to get all dolled up, but their parents make them. The parents on Toddlers and Tiaras are definitely crazy and over the top.

Now, many have called the newer show Dance Moms, just as inappropriate for the kids. They think that the kids are pushed way too far, sometimes dancing as much as 42 hours a week, and the costumes they wear, such as the revealing costumes in electricity (google them and decide). Personally I do not agree with these claims. Although the dancers on the show do wear revealing costumes and a lot of makeup, that is just a very small part of their demanding lives. They work hours, and enjoy it, and getting dresse up is just a reward, an incentive almost.

Tell me what you think in the comments!
